Hi guys we are ready to know more about new technology our new topic is Gorilla glass, everybody, using smartphone and the main part of the smartphone is our screen and it protect with glass and we are ready to protect and one single scratch or break the glass will hurt but most of the smartphone using glass protected technology is Corning gorilla glass, why it is tougher and not easily scratched let's check it out on this blog.
In today's Life most of the electronic product are widely growth and the biggest technology growth is in the smartphone market but there are parallel innovations in the display technology, Displays are more vibrant and more realistic and there is another improvement parallel like the display is display protection like Gorilla Glass 3, 4 and so on. what is the difference in normal glass and gorilla glass what is the technology that they used with normal glass so they are tougher it will break but not like the normal glass, let's check it out?
Gorilla glass is not a magic or do you think what to do to create this type of tough glass we create many years ago you see this in old Heritage Building the glass they are using is made with rock some rock when they melt they look like a glass but they are not pure or not 100% transparent but in today's technology we will do that.
Gorilla Glass mainly we made with some material like SIO2 (Silicon Di-Oxide) in the normal language it is a Sand is lots of available in the Earth, Second material is LimeStone and the third one is Sodium Carbonate. When we combine together and melt and now we are ready to make every type of product we want to create like a bottle, glass sheet.
But this Glass is not tough it is transparent but it is not suitable for smartphone protection and we will call it 'Aluminium Silicate Glass' we will to some chemical changes on that to do more toughness that will do on the Corning Factory to make Gorilla Glass and process will corning do in the factory this process is called 'Ion Exchange Process'.
Do you think what is 'Ion' it is basically an atom there are proton or electrons and Ion is an atom that has any charge in this protons and electrons have there same or equal value but there any value will not properly be filled with ion and in this process we will replace sodium with potassium both are highly active material but poatasium has lots of mass than we craete Gorilla glass with more toughness, But not this type of technology is only used by Corning, other compainies like assai has there Dragontail Glass.
Some smartphone are mentioning their smartphone which type of corning gorilla glass they are used like apple doesn't show but it will tell this glass is ionised that is the same thing even most of the laptop using Corning glass but it too expensive and now corning is a popular brand of this type of glasses.
Verdict:
Do not think your smartphone has corning gorilla glass so your phone will not crack and it is not scratch it is even the sand will scratch your glass easily but it more tough and longlasting as compare to normal glass, hope so do you understand.
